TELADATA to Premiere  Technology Convergence Documentary at Upcoming Conference

Fremont, CA. August 28, 2007- Teladata has just announced the upcoming release of a technology convergence documentary being made in collaboration with award winning documentary film maker, Aron Ranen.  The documentary, set to be premiered at this year’s Technology Convergence Conference, will explore the popularity of converging technologies over IP (Internet Protocol).  Now, more then ever, audio visual, security, building management, conferencing, telephone, and data/networking systems are using IP technology and drastically impacting the physical building infrastructure.

Teladata’s upcoming documentary will open the Technology Convergence Conference on October 16, 2007 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.  The documentary will interview executives throughout Silicon Valley about their current or past projects to implement technology convergence.  Attendees will get a closer look at what companies like Foundry Networks, Intel, Cisco Systems and others are doing to apply technology convergence to their facilities and will hear from a variety of experts regarding the latest trends in the explosion of technology convergence.

Aron Ranen, is an award winning filmmaker. His last major documentary premiered at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He has received two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and a Golden Cine Eagle award. For more than a decade, Ranen has also been producing Critical awareness training programs for all the Bank of America critical facilities worldwide.

“For this documentary we are on the ground floor, exploring what is happening right now in the world of building convergence,” explains Ranen.  “Real life scenarios and experts show us the hurdles and benefits from achieving a truly converged facility.”

Teladata has been providing educational seminars and conferences for two years where technology and facilities professional can network with peers and learn about the latest data center trends.  Similarly this conference will have a data center track but this is the first year the conference will have topics covering energy efficiency, audio visual, security, voice over IP, and more.  This is also the first year that the conference will feature an opening documentary and vendor exhibits.

“The aim of the documentary is to present a complicated topic in an easy to understand and entertaining format,” explained Teladata CEO, Bob Brown.  In addition, the video will allow us to glimpse into the future, to a time where facilities management will be simplified and save the manager time and money.”
