Tamalpais Union High School District Hires TELADATA for Wireless Project

Fremont, CA. January 4, 2007- Teladata has begun work with Tamalpais Union High School District in Marin County.  The school district was recently granted money to implement Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and wireless technologies.  Teladata will be supporting the school district with the implementation of wireless technology on all five high school campuses.

TELADATA will conduct discovery research and provide preliminary design, budgeting, and implementation planning for their wireless technology.  Tamalpais’ priority is to make the system manageable and secure and Teladata is presenting solutions that will accommodate those needs. The VoIP and wireless projects will be completed by the first quarter of 2007.

“We were able to leverage the recent physical infrastructure upgrades provided by a bond passed back in 2001,” said TELADATA project manager, Wade Wilson. “All of their IT equipment and cabling is new and ready to support this new wireless technology.

Tamalpais Union High School District is made up of 5 high schools in the Southern Marin County area and serves 19 surrounding cities.  Their mission is to provide students with the best education and resources available.  This is Teladata’s first project with Tamalpais and looks forward to working with them on future projects.
