AFCOM Selects Bob Brown as the Moderator for their First Northern California Chapter Meeting

AFCOM, a national organization dedicated to providing education and resources for data center managers, is forming a Northern California Chapter.  AFCOM is best known for their bi-annual education conference, Data Center World. The first Northern California chapter meeting will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 in San Francisco, CA.  The event will focus on “Data Center Management Convergence – Bridging the Gap between IT and Facilities. 

AFCOM has selected TELADATA CEO, Bob Brown to moderate a panel discussion which will share ideas on how to improve communication between these departments.
Panelists include representatives from: Dynavax, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, Symantec, and TIVO.

“AFCOM is a great organization and well worth the time and commitment for anyone involved in supporting data center operations,” said CEO, Bob Brown.  “Many organizations are transitioning from traditional servers to high density servers. This has increased the power and cooling loads significantly. IT and Facilities Managers need to be on the same page to solve this problem.  This panel discussion will focus on ways to improve communications between Facilities and IT Departments. “
