Position:
Project Manager
Job Description:
Works closely with TELADATA's Clients, the Project Management team and Documentation staff to design and execute Project plans with various levels of complexity. Charged with managing account budgets and internal management billing.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Review technology infrastructure project requirements and define scope of work
Interview client resources including telcom, datacom, and facilities staff in order to define corporate project objective and confirm scopes aligns with client objectives
Identify/define project resources from all parties, i.e., client, TELADATA, and vendors
Review project technology infrastructure requirements for equipment and services including but not limited to voice/data station cabling; network equipment, PBX, computer, server cabling; campus cabling; Telco, MPOE, SMPOE, and OCC; conduit infrastructure; computer, server, IDF, data center, MPOE, NOC, and lab room planning; environment support that includes HVAC, fire suppression, power, monitoring, lighting and security
Originate and analyze preliminary conceptual designs
Manage project scope of work and project team resources
Create and manage Request for Proposals for client services
Create “For Construction” documents
Manage build out of technology infrastructure design
Coordinate and implement new services
Coordinate relocation of business, i.e., move technology services
Manage RFI, Change Order process and reconcile vendor contracts
Develop documentation package and Project Management tools (as-built plans, telco, move-in cut sheet)
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Computers, networking Microsoft applications, i.e., Word, Excel, Project and Outlook/Exchange.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Multidisciplinary working knowledge in the areas of electricity, electrical distribution, voice/data station cabling, outside plant cabling, cable transport mediums, HVAC, fire suppression, rack, conduits, telcom, datacom, security systems, audio visual, video conferencing, paging, floor plan packages, and business structure. Ability to organize, prioritize, and lead a project. Document ideas. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to lead a team of Project Management and Documentation professionals to ensure quality results for clients. Must have the ability to lead and manage client and vendor teams. Must have demonstrated contract management and project timeline management skills.
Level of Supervision:
Periodic supervision to ensure strategic directions are met. Consults on complex decisions.

Essential Job Activities:
Travel: Regular and frequent travel to local client sites and occasional out of area travel to client sites.
Meetings: Regular meetings held at client sites and the home office.
Equipment: Consistent use of computers and phone. Moderate use of copier and fax machine. Must be able to drive a vehicle.
Lifting: Regular lifting up to 35 pounds
