Job Description:
You will be a client advocate for multiple data center infrastructure projects and will work closely with clients to implement Teladata’s project scope, deliverables, and client technology objectives. You will set goals for your team, mentor, and ensure staff training, as well as manage account budgets and internal billing.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • By working closely with multiple departments at a client site, gather technology infrastructure project requirements and define scope of work
  • Deliver solutions that satisfy customer's needs.
  • Manage multiple, simultaneous IT infrastructure/datacenter projects from inception through completion.
  • Support renovations, and upgrades of existing facilities for clients
  • End to end responsibility from construction to deployment
  • Facilitate resolution of highly critical issues within matrix organizations while maintaining project timelines and costs
  • Identify/define project resources from all parties, i.e., client, TELADATA, and vendors
  • Originate and analyze preliminary conceptual designs
  • Manage project scope of work and project team resources
  • Create and manage Request for Proposals for client services
  • Create “For Construction” documents
  • Manage build out of technology infrastructure design
  • Manage RFI, Change Order process and reconcile vendor contracts
  • Develop documentation package and Project Management tools
  • Travel to client sites up to 50% locally with up to 25% out of state travel

Requirements:

  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, construction management, or related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing complex, multi-group, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Must have knowledge of large scale facility mechanical & electrical systems
  • Experience with datacenter equipment/environments, including switch gears, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems and working understanding of start up/commissioning processes is preferred
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast track design build processes and associated documents, and contracts of preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, and scheduling
  • Proven track record of achieving objectives on schedule and within budget
  • Travel up to 50% both, local and out of state
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, networking Microsoft applications, i.e., Project and Outlook/Exchange, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
