Our Project Managers act as Client Advocates and guide the process from analyzing client’s needs to finding and implementing solutions to match client expectations battling time and resources. In short, we help clients make needs based infrastructure decisions and manage implementation process. Job Description:       
You will be working closely with the Marketing Director to implement marketing campaigns, press releases and Teladata’s Educational Conference (focused on delivering non bias technical and business knowledge, rated as “top conference in the field by attendees). You will also be working closely with Project Managers and contribute to building a marketing brand, and building relationships with new partners in the industry.

We are a small company and you will have an opportunity to work closely with the CEO to create presentations and sales materials. You will also be helping the Marketing and Business Development Department with various marketing projects and on-going tasks like researching and following through on sales leads, making sure the database is up to date, running marketing reports and more.

Marketing/Business Development Manager

  • Implement various marketing initiatives to develop new business opportunities.
  • Implement marketing campaigns for targeted industry groups;
  • Conduct research on tradeshows and conferences for relevance to Teladata;
  • Research opportunities for speaking engagements;
  • Research and follow up leads from tradeshows and seminars, enter in the CRM database
  • Work closely with Marketing Director in the planning and execution of events;
  • Create Client profiles and Account Plans
  • Manage email campaigns
  • Work with Clients and Project Managers on “Project Closeout and Lessons Learned” 
  • Contribute to “Client/Sales Management” training for Project Managers
  • Put together and manage quarterly client roundtables
  • Manage ACT database, scrub data regularly
  • Set up Teladata’s display and work the booth at various shows;
  • Develop sales proposals and marketing materials;
  • Conduct client qualification discovery with Teladata Principal to obtain information on organization, client personnel responsibilities, project initiatives, issues, problems and perceived solutions;
  • Coordinate Teladata internal scope development process through strategy meetings;
  • Working closely with operations team members to develop proposal;
  • Close the engagement and obtain signed contracts, purchase orders and other client approvals, as necessary;
  • Maintain project sales and proposals log;
  • Help with sales proposal binders and presentations;
  • Write press releases for Teladata’s website;
  • Create internal project announcements;
  • Compile resumes for new Project Managers;
  • Schedule and coordinate Lunch and Learn presentations with horizontal firms;
  • Create HTML Flyers for e-mail blasts and other marketing collateral for Teladata’s events and tradeshows.
  • Develop and maintain networking and client relationships
  • Participate in local industry associations and networking events such as, BOMA, WIRE, IFMA, CORENET, and SMPS.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

REQUIRED:                  

  • Five + years of experience in marketing/event planning/business development.
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience.
  • Successful track record of coordinating and managing events including conferences, receptions, tradeshows and other marketing related events.
  • Excellent writing skills, especially in writing marketing material based on technical information for prospective clients, client organizations and other target audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, ACT, Dreamweaver, and HTML is a plus.
  • Demonstrate a strong team orientation, must have excellent attention to detail and follow-through abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct internet-based & other types of research.
  • Experience in selecting, negotiating with & managing outside suppliers (such as printers, photographers and graphics professionals).
  • Knowledge of professional services proposal, bidding and awards process.
  • Experience developing and implementing media relations programs and processes beneficial but not required.
